Girls star Allison Williams laments public scrutiny surrounding her weight in the new issue of Glamour magazine.
Staring on the magazine’s February cover, the 26-year-old - who has previously admitted to losing several pounds since first appearing on the hit HBO show in 2012 - said: ‘Being analyzed about my weight drives me crazy.'
The actress added: 'It’s easier to say, "Oh, she must be anorexic and depriving herself," than it is to say, "She might have a fast metabolism".'

The actress further remarked: 'I deprive myself nothing. But that’s an annoying thing to say, right?'

Miss Williams, who recently starred as Peter Pan in NBC’s live Christmas Special, went on to reassure Girls fans everywhere when she said that her days of playing Marnie are far from over.
Asked how long she would continue to play the waspish character that won her instant fame: 'As long as they’ll have me.
'I would never ever get sick of playing her, because there is no sense of "Oh, I’ve done that already." It’s all new. New scenarios, new feelings.'
It's a good job the ravishing star isn't bored of Marnie yet.
HBO announced last night at its New York premiere party for season four, which airs January 11, that the show had been renewed for a sixth season.

Miss Williams, who has been engaged to Ricky Van Veen, the co-founder of CollegeHumor, for almost a year, also mentioned she was conflicted about starting a family.
'How do I get to a place in my career where I can go be a mom for a little while, and then come back and be a mom and an actress at the same time?' she poses.
'Every time I find a woman in film, an actress who has kids, I, like a sociopath, corner her and ask, "How did it work?" Everyone says, "Don’t think so much".'

Referring to her Girls co-star Jemima Kirke, an artist-actress who is mother to two kids, Miss Williams' revealed: 'Jemima is always saying, "Just get pregnant! Just have a baby."
Every time I find an actress who has kids, I, like a sociopath, corner her and ask, "How did it work?"
'And I’m like, "You are so much cooler than I am.'
'I love what I do, but I have no doubt that when I start my family, that’s life. This is my job, but that’s life.'
Until then, the actress - who once played The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton in a Funny or Die spoof - is concentrating on lofty goals of winning 'EGOT' status (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards).
'I have zero of those so far, so I have a lot of work to do,' she admits.
Responding to questions as to why she is yet to appear in a movie, Miss Williams said: 'The number of scripts that take my breath away are few and far between.
'There are some that are gorgeous, but I want to play all the male roles in them. I always ask, and I’m always told no.'
She did of course land herself the role of Peter Pan in NBC's Peter Pan Live! last year, which aired in December to lukewarm reviews.

'The day of the performance, I was focused, chill, then emotional,' Miss William recalls.

'Then, the minute I flew out the window in the end, I burst into tears again.
'To tell a cast that opening night is also closing night is just crazy.'
Her father Brian Williams, NBC's Nightly News host, took the evening off work to watch his daughter's performance from the wings.

Speaking of her parents, Mr Williams and Jane Stoddard, the actress said: 'As a child, I was lucky to have two parents who were seemingly superheroes.
'The idea of their dying was my chief source of anxiety. As I’ve grown older, they’ve transitioned into friends.'
Miss Williams added: 'But there are still boundaries. We’d never talk about our sex lives!'
