Is that a hand-me-down? David Beckham was sporting an unusual chunky gold bracelet at a recent promotional event
Look familiar: David appeared as though he had been inspired by bling-loving Del Boy (played by Sir David Jason) after his recent stint on Only Fools And Horses
He famously made a guest appearance in a special episode of Only Fools And Horses.
And
it looks like David Beckham took more away from the experience then
just getting to show his comedy skills opposite Sir David Jason.
The
former footballer took to the stage at a Jaguar event in China, rocking
a suave suit as well as few gold bracelets on his wrist, not too
dissimilar to the ones Del Boy liked to wear.
The only other bit of jewelllery David was wearing was the wedding ring his wife Victoria Beckham gave him on the day they married 16 years ago.
The father of four, who is married to fashion queen Victoria, has openly admitted to being a huge fan of the classic British comedy series Only Fools And Horses.
Classic: The star opted to wear his trademark suit and tie combo to the event
Heading out solo: The former footballer wore his gold bracelet to a glitzy Jaguar bash in China, which he attended without his doting wife Victoria
So much so that not only did he star in a special one-off episode of the show last year but the east London-born hunk also made the entire Beckham clan watch an episode on Christmas Day.
Speaking about his stint on his childhood favourite programme, David admitted he was so nervous that he struggled to sleep the night before.
According to the sporting legend, he had no idea he was going to be given so much dialogue when he signed up to appear on the show, which was recorded for a BBC1 Sport Relief special.
Public speaker: The sport star took to the stage to give a speech at the event
Suave: Despite his accessory disaster, David still looked handsome at the bash
'The day of filming started off with a slightly sleepless night, going over my script,' he told Radio Times magazine. The thought of being on set with Nicholas and David was obviously very nerve-racking. I woke up that morning with my script on my chest.'
'I've never done anything like this before, especially with two people I'm really in awe of and have been for many years. It wasn't just about learning the script, it was about delivering it; saying the right things at the right time.'
The overwhelmed footballer also gushed that he could now 'die a happy man' after filming the Peckham-set sketch.
Favourite show: David loves Only Fools And Horses so much that the Beckham clan watch an episode of the comedy series every Chirstmas
