Despite the downsides of aging, Kate Winslet is very much looking forward to turning the big 4-0 on October 5 of this year.
'I'm definitely going to get to my birthday and feel I've earned it!' the gorgeous Oscar winner told People.
'I
have the kind of wrinkles that are here to stay now. You know, not just
the ones where you wake up in the morning and you go, "Oh that will go
away in two hours' time." No, they're there. That's the way it is.'
The
Berkshire-born blonde beamed over how well her three children - Mia,
14, Joe, 11, and Bear, 15 months - from three marriages all get along.
'They're absolutely adorable together,' the A Little Chaos actress said of her blended family.
'They're
very helpful, I must say. I really love hanging out with my kids.
They're terrific people. They're kind of happy in who they are, too, and
that's all you can really hope for them - that they love being
themselves.'
Kate
continued: 'We've all got our health and we all laugh a lot. In my
personal life, I really can't say why, but I've never felt more
confident and happy.'

Having children so young, Winslet missed out on those formative college years, and she seems to hold a tinge of regret.
'I'm curious what that might have been like...just for a week,' the twice-divorced star laughed.
