Police in Nairobi have launched investigations into an incident where thugs broke into the ODM headquarters in Kilimani, Nairobi and made away with property.
According to the workers, about ten men invaded the premises and tied up the guards before stealing over ten computers that reportedly have crucial information, among other files.
According to the detectives following the case, four guards were on duty on Sunday night when one of them fell sick and was taken to hospital.
Shortly after, two guards were ambushed while on patrol by a gang of around ten people wielding machetes and a pistol.
Kilimani OCPD Peter Kattam says preliminary investigations indicate that the midnight robbery could be an inside job since the gang had an easy access to Orange House.
While confirming the incident, ODM Executive Director Oduor Ogweng said ten computers and two laptops had been stolen and a backup generator, some files and documents were also interfered with.
