The singer will be championing Goal 5- Gender Equality.
Juliana singed the deal last week at the UN offices in Kampala after a series of closed door meeting with UN officials regarding her responsibilities plus the terms and conditions.
“I am delighted to let you know that i have accepted an invitation from the United Nations in Uganda to become a Global Goals Ambassador.” She wrote on social media
“I will be championing Goal 5 – Gender Equality. I am deeply humbled by the opportunity to serve fellow women and champion their cause at this level. As many of you are aware, world leaders converged at the United Nations General Assembly in New York in September and committed to the 2030 Agenda comprised of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) also known as the Global Goals.”

Global Goal campaign, founded by filmmaker Richard Curtis, was announced as aiming to make the 17 UN Goals famous and to push for their full implementation worldwide. The campaign uses famous personalties,public figures, companies and civil society groups to tell seven billion people in seven days that “it’s time to change the world.”
