He also regretted the loss of the five lives during the raid and assured the residents that peace will be restored.
Meanwhile, the two boys who were killed in Baragoi by unknown gunmen have been laid to rest.
Among those who attended the burial was David Leakono, a member of the Samburu County Assembly. He asked the national government to look into security issues of Samburu North adding that residents have suffered insecurity for more than 50 years.
“It is very painful to lose young people under unclear circumstances. People are being killed aimlessly,” said Leakono.
One of the residents, identified only as Mzee Lenyara, said that it is very painful and inhuman that people are killed yet no action has been taken saying that this is a big setback to achieving peace and stability in the region.
“We are asking the government to monitor Baragoi even if it means imposing a curfew until all those killing people are arrested and prosecuted,” he said.
According to residents, the raid poses serious security threats and if no action is taken, the situation will move from bad to worse
