The
Christmas spirit arrived at the White House on Friday (November 25) as
U.S. first lady Michelle Obama received the 19 foot Douglas fir that
will decorate the presidential mansion.
The tree, which will be decorated and displayed in the Blue Room of
the White House, was grown in Wisconsin and and presented by David and
Mary Vander Velden, the winners of the National Christmas Tree
Association content for the grandest fir in the land.
“Christmas begins! The holidays start! We’re ready; our last one. We’re excited about it,” Michelle Obama said.
