Kate Winslet is adamant her personal struggles, including her two divorces, have helped teach her children how to cope with life's hardships.
The Oscar-winning actress has no regrets about the choices she's made in her life, bad or good, because they have shaped both her and her children, she tells Harper's Bazaar.
Speaking in the March issue of the magazine, she explains: 'I think it’s very important to teach your children to struggle on some level.

Marriage one: The Titanic actress married director Jim Threapleton in 1998. They had a daughter, Mia, before divorcing in 2001

It's not the first time Kate has vehemently denied that her personal life would affect her children.
In an interview with the same magazine back in 2011, she defiantly said: 'There's no way that I'm going to allow my children to be f***ed up because my marriages haven't worked out.
''I so wish that that wasn't the case, that that hadn't happened in my life, but it has. So I will make the best of it.'
In her new interview with Harper's, which hits shelves on Tuesday, the Titanic actress reveals she is refusing to feel pressured to get back to her pre-birth body following Bear's arrival.
She adds: 'There’s a big part of me – now, more than ever before – that feels a sense of responsibility for how other women view themselves.
'Take having the baby, for instance. Have I actively been on a diet to lose my baby weight?
'No, I haven’t. I genuinely b**ody haven’t.
'I so didn’t want to be one of those, "Oh, wow, she’s back in shape after 12 weeks’ women." When I read things like that, I just think, "Oh, for f**k's sake, that’s actually impossible."'
The full feature appears in March issue of Harper's Bazaar UK, which is on sale 3rd February. It is also available as a digital edition.
