Harry Potter Actor, Alan Rickman (Professor Snape) Dies At 69

Harry Potter and Die Hard actor, Alan Rickman, one of the best-loved and most warmly admired British actors of the past 30 years, has died in London aged 69. His death was confirmed on Thursday by his family. According to the family, the star known as “Professor Snape” in the popular Harry Porter series was suffering from cancer.
Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter in the films, posted a statement on Google+ calling Rickman “one of the greatest actors I will ever work with” and one of the nicest, as well.
“Alan was extremely kind, generous, self-deprecating and funny, And certain things obviously became even funnier when delivered in his unmistakable double-bass,” Radcliffe wrote.
He became a fan favorite with his roles in hit movies such as Harry Potter, Die Hard, Truly Madly Deeply and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
