Idina
Menzel appeared to freeze up on Wednesday night while belting out her
hit song Let It Go live on television in frigid New York City.
The
43-year-old singer performed the wildly popular song from the hit
Disney animated musical Frozen during the New Year's Rockin Eve show on
ABC.
The
Tony Award-winning actress and singer delivered the song on a Times
Square stage with the temperature hovering at a chilly 30 degrees.

Idina had the crowd singing along to the Academy Award-winning song despite the cold temperatures.
The singer faltered at the end of the song during the tune's high note crescendo.
Idina's voice usually soars while singing the penultimate line 'Let the storm rage on' but she ended up growling and yelling out the lyrics instead.

She cleanly delivered the final lower register line, 'The cold never bothered me anyway!', and then wished the revelers a happy New Year.
Viewers quickly took to social media to comment on her performance and referenced John Travolta butchering her name when he introduced her as 'Adele Dazeem' in March at the Academy Awards.
'I'm just going to pretend that was Idina's alter ego Adele Dazeem performing....,' tweeted one observer.

Others forgave the singer and noted that she was singing in freezing temperatures.
Idina provided the voice of Queen Elsa in Frozen which is the highest-grossing animated film of all time with nearly $1.3 billion in worldwide box office revenue.
