Dr. Khadija Kasachoon, the health Principal Secretary, confirmed that the money has been received and the ministry is finalizing plans to allocate it. She was speaking to the press at Sopa Lodge in Naivasha after opening a two-day workshop for Kenya’s coordination mechanism on the Global Fund.

According to Kasachoon, KSh 24 billion has been set aside for HIV Aids and TB while KSh 11 billion will cater for malaria cases.
“The country has already received from the Global Fund Sh24b towards supporting the fight against HIV Aids and extra Sh11b towards reducing malaria cases,” Kasachoon said.READ ALSO: A List Of Counties Employing Doctors On Ethnicity And Nepotism Basis Released
Kasachoon is optimistic that the ministry will minimise HIV and TB cases across the country, “These funds which have come at the right time will go a long way in making sure that the fight against TB and HIV war is won.”
